AKC CGC “Canine Good Citizen” class
The AKC Canine Good Citizen™ (CGC) program provides a perfect framework for training your dog to become a polite member of society. This class will cover loose lead walking skills, greeting strangers, neutrality to other dogs, recalls, grooming, supervised separation, and engagement with distractions. This class has a max of 5 handlers so that each team gets plenty of personal attention and support. All new students will receive a free online resource to help support you and your dog on your training journey!
Rapid Recalls
Struggling to get your dog excited about coming back when asked? Or maybe your recall is great…until there is a distraction. In this 6 week course we will be covering all the do’s and don’t of recalls and practicing the skill in “real life” situations, not in a classroom. This class is open to dogs of all ages and is suitable for dogs who are able to remain neutral to other dogs with 15-20 feet of space. Since we will be working outside for this class, we are able to have more distance between dogs. This is a great option for dogs who are good with space but might struggle in a small classroom setting. Class will take place on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm. First class begins 6/17.
